Oven Mitt by Linda!

We have another Loom Knit Oven Mitt to show ‘n tell!

Linda Jones converted her mitt to be a side thumb version for a better fit for her…that’s a terrific example of making a project what  YOU need it to be…great job, Linda! 🙂

Our Day at the Madrona Fiber Festival~

Our local knitting group went on a field trip last Saturday to this fun event and we all had an excellent time shopping, learning new things, and generally drooling over all the luscious fiber to be had at our fingertips, lol.  Here are a few highlight pics of the day:

My Emily went with me to have some fibery fun (Megan was at home sick with a bad cold :P) and she decided that she liked the experience of spinning so much that she brought something home with her…

A Turkish Drop Spindle!  …and of course lots of pretty colored fiber and some other tools to play with.  She’s already spun up 2 oz. of her first ply and is ready to start of the 2nd ply for her very first ball of hand spun yarn!  🙂  I love it when my girlies find something new and crafty to experience and love.

…and for those of you who are wondering if I brought anything home for myself, never fear!  I went to this booth and chose a gorgeous briar rose colored Bambino yarn…lovely!  I can’t wait ’till I get some extra time to discover what this yarn is destined to become.

Until next time!

Ah!  Where did I go wrong?  Where’s my “Stop the Growth” serum?…or my Never Never Land dust?

My baby is growing up.
