Happy New Year 2014!!! 😀
Leave it to me to be a bit late on finishing my Christmas posts, lol. Today I gave myself a bit of time off from that crazy commission looming for New Year’s Day and thought it would be the perfect time to complete this year’s holiday posts…so, hang onto your seats, haha!
Hmmm…so many wonderments have occurred this holiday season, it’s actually hard to know where to begin. I think we’ll start with a winterland snow day!
Then, we visited the Bavarian Christmas Town, Leavenworth, WA! 🙂
A few other knitty gifties that weren’t mentioned in the previous post, Christmas 2013: phase one…
This year I’ve been experimenting a bit with other ways of crafting yarn…my hands have been letting me work in bits here and there with knitting needles and crochet hooks. 🙂 I’ve also developed ways in which to use these tools that make it a little bit easier and with less wrist/hand fatigue…I probably look kind of silly to avid yarnie crafters in those fields, but if it succeeds in letting me enjoy these other techniques, I’ll do it, haha!
I’ve linked to my Ravelry project page for each of the below items, so you can discover more info about them, if you so desire: pattern, process, yarns used, etc. 😉
Here are two lacy cowls I needle knit in luscious silk and merino fiber for my very good friend and my youngest darling daughter (they came out so luxuriously, squishably soft!):
These fun and chunky loafer slippers were created on needles for my eldest darling daughter. I really learned a lot during the creation of these puppies…and don’t you just adore those oversized, vintage coconut buttons?!:
Here are some really cute house shaped wash cloths, also needle knit, of which two were gifted during a family gift exchange:
…and last, but not least, my wonderfully supportive and super sweet niece-in-law has provided some super darling photos of her girlies (my awesome great-nieces) in their loom knit Minnie Mouse Hats and outfits that I gifted them for Christmas this year. I hope you enjoy! 🙂 (Although, I don’t know how you couldn’t, as they’re just sooooo, so darling!)
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting with me for a bit. 🙂 I hope you’re all having an absolutely wonderful time this holiday season and that the New Year of 2014 brings only joy and successes your way (…and oodles of luscious new yarns, haha)!
Cheers!
Bethany~
PS: I’m planning on soon publishing the loom knit Minnie Mouse Hat, as well as a couple others, in a hat pattern set…you see, these projects all work together in the same basic way to create different looks. You’ll love it! 🙂
Can’t wait for these patterns love the Minnie Mouse hats Merry Christmas Happy New year. loved seeing your slide show everything is just beautiful
Oh, thank you so very much, Kathy! 🙂 I thought this was a pretty post, too…love all the snow and holiday sparkles.
Have a Happy New Year!
