I thought you’d like to take a peek at my friend Becky’s Braided Cables Bag…
Didn’t she do a fantabulous job on it??? 😀 This picture was snapped just before she gifted it to a very lucky lady relative. Becky is one of the gals in my local looming group. Well…it was local until we moved 50 miles north, lol! But we still enjoy getting together once a month for some looming fun and sharing. Most of us met a few years back when I was still teaching classes at both the college and at Michaels. We all just couldn’t knock the fun of this craft and so keep plugging away and enjoy each others company every once in a while. 🙂
I’m really excited to say that I have a new convert to the wonders of fine gauge looms from this group too! She’s taken the plunge and ordered a Small Gauge 20″ AJAL from Decor Accents! I can’t wait till she gets it and tell me how she likes using it over the larger gauge looms that she’s used thus far. It’s definitely a new experience and one that I think every serious loom knitter should know first hand. There’s a purpose and a place for everything, and looms are no exception. The possibilities with loom knitting are pretty much endless, although they are a bit limited to what kind of loom you have on hand. Until you branch out a bit in your loom collection some projects and techniques might simply be out of reach. (in my humble opinion, lol!)
So my advice is to be brave! Branch out! Try something new…I think you’ll love the thrill you get from doing so! 😀
