Heheeheee…this is what it is for us around the PacNW. Trying to dodge the rainclouds, and in some cases snow flakes! But we still muster the strength to have hope that spring weather will be ours to enjoy soon… and flowers will bloom, and birds will churp, and babies will coo.
I think the deer that have been lately making camp around our place have really been enjoying the first tiny shoots of spring. A little bit ago, my daughter and I came home from school to find one of them munching the new growth from a bush in our front yard! By the time I was able to snatch my camera from the house, it had moved off to join the rest of its family in the field next to ours. There were 2 does and 2 young’uns. So sweet!
The other morning, I looked outside to see such wonderful coloring, and a dusting of snow…so lovely! I just had to grab my camera and try to capture the moment. I’m not so great at getting something captured in my camera just the way I see it in reality. I give it my best try, though, and this is what I came up with.
I’m enrolled in a Digital Photography course next quarter! I can’t wait! 🙂 I have this completely wonderful camera, yet I don’t know two-thirds of what it can actually do. Maybe with this class, I’ll learn to actually be able to bring to film what I feel in my heart when I look at something I want to preserve forever…a bit of the emotions of the moment that can be re-lived everytime it’s viewed, no matter how much time has passed. *sigh…I’m crossing my fingers…*
Well…I hope you have a wonderful first day of Spring, even if it doesn’t exactly look or feel like spring yet. It is coming, I promise!

Oh, I know what you mean about the snow, I woke up to it yesterday morning. Then it rained all day. Your grass is a lot greener than ours is. The alpacas don’t care, they run out to the pasture and eat what they can find…
I’m still waiting for Spring 🙂 hope it shows up soon!
