SNAFU

The following service announcement has been brought to you by the not so military headquarters of the LKLP Book Building Project…Current Status: “Situation Normal All Fouled Up”  (I had no idea that this little term was an actual acronym until I looked it up just now, lol.  I’ve posted the rated G version of it here for my own use, as well as your better reading enjoyment.  😉  If you’d like to hear the history of how this word came into our daily vernacular, pop on over to this link to hear the story directly from the person who made it up, way back in 1941, military time.)

——————————————————————————

Hellooooo there!

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to pop in here and chat a bit with you, I know.  Things have been quite crazy around here, as you might well imagine.  We’ve been working as a team getting everything all wrapped up and ready to send all your fabulous goodies to you from the Kickstarter Launch, as well as the Blogiversary Bash…as soon as we receive (and I sign, lol) all the books, we’ll be able to slide them into their packages with the other goodies and send them all winging their way to you!

But first thing’s first…all the i’s of the book need to be dotted and all those t’s crossed.  I have a little confession to make.  I had already placed the books on order and was all set to announce an official ship/release date when, in a flash of illumination, last night sitting in my new and super comfy arm chair recliner working a bit on a loomy project, it hit me.  I had made a serious error in a technique…mostly on the part of an (well, a series of THREE, to be precise, lol) illustration.  It was close to being correct, and  it was actually an understandable mishap, but, alas, was NOT the correct technique.  *sigh*

So, in a rush of email and phone conversations, I have managed to cancel that order without any harm and am now working on the brand new (and correct, lol!) illustrations to be popped into position…that having been done, we’ll place the order again.  *sigh*sigh*

Needless to say, this will push our release date back a bit.  But, I really would rather have a book as near to perfect as can be detected delivered into your hands late, than a book that contains a serious error.  I just couldn’t live with that.  I sincerely hope you understand and can sympathize with my pain and frustration at being forced to accept what will most likely be a delay of a month later than the original August release date. *sigh*sigh*sigh*

I’m hopefully and tentatively stating the new release/shipping date to be the 30th of September.  Let’s all cross our fingers and toes that this is the last of the unexpected edits and the book will be released on time, and maybe (miracle of miracles) even early! 🙂

Thank you so much for hanging with me through this!  I’m so glad that I have such a great bunch of loomy friends that I know appreciate the fact of occasionally having no where else to turn but to the froggie pond, even when we’re dealing with pages, not yarn.

I will have some excellent news to announce tomorrow, so please stay tuned!  I know you’re gonna like it, I promise.  It’s a bit of a loomy treat of the freebie variety! 😉

From the LKLP Book Building Project Headquarters…hang tough…signing out.

Blogiversary & Book Launch Party Finale! :)

Wahoo!  The day has finally arrive to be able to draw the winning names from amongst the many entries…I’m so excited! 😀  I have worked up these 2 videos in honor of the occasion, so that the end of the event seems as “live” as possible…I wanted to visit you right there in your living rooms, lol.

Because I have included a couple sneak peeks of additional projects from Loom Knitting for Little People and have answered a couple more interview questions from the Blogiversary Bash, and of course because I’m kinda long winded, lol…these videos are a bit  lengthy.  So, grab your comfy chairs, some tea/coffee and your favorite snack and let’s Par-Tay Together! 😀

Part 1

Part 2

If you are one of the lucky winners, please send me an email to: Bethany @ gettinitpegged . com (with no spaces) with your addresses.  If you have a choice for your prize, please list your preferences (the 2 Cool 4 Stix tote can be customized by color and the lucky person who gets to have me whip up a project for them from the book gets to choose which one and what colors/type of yarn!)  😀

For those of you unable to get the videos to work due to a slow internet connection or the moon not being in it’s proper alignment and you forgot to have banana pancakes for breakfast (sometimes technology seems like it takes a magic touch to make happen just right, lol), I have included this file for you to download which also contains the winning names and numbers.

Make sure to pop on over to Markman Looms to see if you’ve won the drawing there and  also to support another handcrafted, loom knitting, family owned business! 🙂  (Here are the details to have been able to participate in the Markman Looms drawing…all entries  and  certificates have been drawn and awarded at this time.)
