Hello, Everyone!  😀
I thought I’d surprise you with a little tutorial about a technique that some of you had mentioned you’d love to know about…
The I-Cord Seaming Technique!
I figured this interesting, yet very simple process out while assembling my Pinwheel Blanket (pattern by Denise Layman of KnitChat.com).  I had wanted to use this very technique for the Braided Cables Bag, but just couldn’t get it to work right.  It turned out that I had the right idea, but was trying to do it upside down, lol!  The correct version came to me…yep!  You guess it!  In my sleep!  Once again, the Design Goddess came to me in dreamland and whispered the steps into my ear while I snoozed.  Isn’t she just wonderful?!  😉

Lazy Day~

What a great day I had yesterday!  You know when you think, “Man, I just need a day to just laze around in my PJ’s, and do only those things I want to do, and absolutely nothing I have to do…”? 

Well, yesterday was almost exactly like that for me!  What bliss!  😀

I got to loom on a new project, enjoy my family’s company, laze on the couch in my PJ’s, watch BBC’s Pride and Prejudice (one of my all time favorites!), take a long luxurious bath (another of my all time favorites, lol)…and just basically whatever I felt like doing.  We even ordered in pizza for dinner!  And I had time to fit in some reading  of the book I just got from the library…The Magician.

All in all, a very excellent day indeed!  A rest was needed as today is going to be slam packed busy from start to finish, what with the start of school for my middle schooler, my new work schedule, and our local knit night being held at my house tonite (which of course will be one of the best highlights of the day!).  🙂 

Here’s some pics of the last trip of the season to the local pool… a fond day of wrapping up the summer’s fun…getting geared for the fall season, and hitting the books for school.

I think it’s that time of year again…

The nights have begun to get chilly…the blankets are added to the beds.  The leaves on the trees are beginning to show a sprinkling of yellow and reds. 

We moved far away, but nevertheless…they’ve found our new hiding place, and have decided to test

our patience, and unwavering nerves at their best…

the Spiders are back… we’ve counted all eight…

the same as the number of their long spindly legs.

2 on the wall, 1 in the hamper, 2 on the floor making all of us scamper.

2 set up residence in the bathroom by the pot.

The other morning, In the depths of the bathtub this one was found …

and I can say without doubt, that now he lives NOT!  😉
