The days which fill a Holiday-Sandwich…

I’ve been a little quiet this week, as my hubby has the week off and we’ve been mixing it up with holiday type activities, as well as New Year’s Purging! 😀 We’ve moved some things around and I’ve been working on a new computer/crafting area…of course, this requires some cleaning, sorting and tossing, lol!  I’ve been so happy to see it straightening up, though.  I think we’re all going to really enjoy the change and it should be more useful all around. 🙂

I have been also finding a little time to keep working on the BIGGY (hubby’s belated Christmas loomy item).  The biggest section is now almost ready to come off the loom!  I’m just at the button hole strip…then it’s onto the sleeves and assembly.  Yay!

I hope you’re all having a spectacular holiday-sandwich week! 😉  What have you been stuffing your days with between the holidays?  If it’s anything you’d enjoy sharing, or letting off some steam about (lol), feel free to drop a comment…I greatly enjoy reading them and hearing about your adventures! 😀

  1. Bethany,
Thanks for sharing your activities… sounds like you are off to a great start on re-organizing. With family relatives all out of the house, I’ve been trying to get back into a sort of schedule. Our youngest still is out for winter break, so I took him and 2 of his friends to snow board all day, yesterday. I brought along a project I’ve started for my daughter as one of her birthday gifts, but didn’t even touch it while out in the upper 40 degree temps. It’s been a very warm Christmas for us, but Snow Creek makes their own snow, so there were tons of us out there yesterday… hoping to make a couple things for the “slopes” before March – like neon hats, since I couldn’t tell one person from the other at such great distances. Also making a binocular bag!

  2. Excellent progress on hubby’s gift…you’re talking for Christmas 2011, right??? LOL.
I just received the book by Anne Bipes called “Learn new stitches on the circle loom”. So I am trying out all of the new stitches.

Sandwich? LOL! I am still wrapped up inside the filling- must be a “wrap”. Let’s see – well. work, and then more work, and tenants, and work, and kitchen sink explosion, and tenants, and half a mitt, and carpet cleaners, then paperwork, BUT! the 5000 fingers of Dr. T! (Suessian extravaganza movie starring Dr. Smith from the old lost in Space, only younger, being his slimy flamboyant self to perfection! Which I think I first saw @earliest 60s?) Best description is Director John Waters, remaking the wizard of Oz Tim Burton style. (MOT animated – for real). However, NY is a coming, and I am SDO looking forward to actually having a couple days REALLY off – since I worked fiendishly to get through everything so I would actually have time off! What will I do? LOL! I have no idea! – haven’t thought that far yet! Jen!

Sorry for extravagant typos – I forgot to check when I pounded this out quick! MOT is NOT, SDO is So. Bangs head – oh well, tomorrow’s FRIDAY!

Wow, I can’t believe you’re almost done with the sweater!!!! That’s great. You’ve really been working. Can’t wait to see it all together.
