First of all thanks a lot for this book, it sounds brilliant and the concept behind it is very touching. I know this may have been asked already but I was wondering: can the patterns offered in the book be achieved with a set of round and long knifty knitter looms or does one needs some of the extra fine gauge looms to do them? I am very new to loom knitting, very excited about it, and I just want to make sure I can locate the correct tools to execute your lovely patterns.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Hi Margaret! 🙂 Thanks for your interest in Loom Knitting for Little People, and welcome to this wonderful craft of loom knitting!
The majority of the projects in the book are created using the larger gauge round and long looms. I used the Knifty Knitter brand for the samples, but other brands such as Boye or Loops & Threads are good alternatives. There are also some projects that were created by using finer gauge looms, but none that couldn’t be also transferred to brands that are readily available today, such as Authentic Knitting Board’s All-n-One or Afghan Looms, or the Martha Stewart Loom Kit set on the smaller pegs, using every hole.
I hope this helps! 😀 Bethany~
