Hello, hello, hello!
Welcome to the
Gettin’ It Pegged’s
2nd Loomy Blogiversary! 🙂
I hope you’re ready for some fun…because that’s what I had on the menu for today, lol.
First of all, I’ll share with you the party details, so you’ll know what’s going to be happening. We’re going to be having a “Surprise Project Loom Along,” via tutorial videos posted right here on the front page! There will be a total of 3 videos paced throughout the morning…here’s the schedule:

Video Three: 10:45-11:15am (PST) “Finishing up”
Questions for the LAL will be posted directly to the Video Post in the Comments Section, and I’ll answer them right there as well.
During the course of the morning, there will also be 2 new pattern releases for sale in the Peggin’ Pages area, as well as a special little “giftie” for you all for coming to the party. 😉
Oh…and did I forget to mention…PRIZES???
There will be 6 prize giveaways during the course of the day!…just some fibery related goodies that I thought you could make use of. 🙂
Ways in which to win (each point is worth one entry into a random number generator drawing) :
-
Sign in during the first Video Session for the Loom Along= 3 points
-
Send a picture of your completed “Surprise Project” by the end of the day, to be posted here at the Loom Knitter’s Clique= 3 points

How’s that sound?? I think it should be a ton of fun! So why don’t we dive right in to the first Video Session? 🙂
(ps: if you’re unable to join us in making the project during these exact times, that’s quite alright…I’ll be leaving the videos posted and will also be giving out a PDF copy of the pattern after the first LAL is complete, so that you’ll be able to join in the blogiversary fun on your own schedule. 🙂 )
Got any questions??? Please sign in for the LAL for your first 3 entries, and ask any questions right here in the Comments Section. 🙂
i’m here!!! YAY!!!
Yippee!! Happy Party Day! 😀 I’m feeling alittle bit giddy, lol!
I didn’t have a change to get toule (sp?) is there something else you think I could use? Maybe some light weight fabric?
Well…how about just trying it with only the 2 ends of 100% cotton, without the tulle. I don’t think that fabric would really do anything for this particular project. 😉
Congratulations on your second Blogiversary Mom!!! It all sounds like so much fun – we can’t wait to see what happens next! Please… tell us all >:3 Muahahahahaah!!!!!!!
Happy Blogiversary, from your loving daughters,
Megan, and Emily Dailey
Happy Blogiversary!!!! Super fun! Okay, an idea on a substitute for tulle – maybe strips of the netting that onions, certain fruits and popscicles come packaged in? Hugs!
I’m prepping my tulle, I have a 6 inch wide roll but it is 100 yards. I will only cut part way into the roll I think.
Hi Bethany! I won’t be able to participate in the LAL today still have to get the supplies for it, will be doing it as soon as I get them. Have put an entry in my blog about your party. Have to go out for a little will be back a little later.
Woohoo! So glad you’re here, Jenny, and great ideas for tulle substitutes! You’re the best! 😀
Good idea, Jeannette! Otherwise you’ll have to be knitting this particular project for ages, lol! The other thing you can do to make this a bit easier is to just pull out the 8 yrds and cut as you need it. 😉
That’s quite okay, Pam…whenever your schedule allows. 🙂 I’m going to pop on over to your bloggie and check out your post…thanks so much for the shout out! 😀
Hello, Darling Daughters of mine! 😀 Thanks so much, ladies…and of course I’ll keep you posted, lol! Have some fun down stairs yourself! 😀 Love ya’
got the invite on my front page at kellyknits.com
Hi Bethany! Happy Blogaversary! LOL
Haven’t figured out the time difference here yet but I’m leaving up the page and hitting refresh every so often to see if there’s anything more posted! LOL
Hope you have a great party and I’m off to see if I can find the supplies I need for the first MLA!
Thanks, Kelly! You’re great. 🙂 I’ll pop on over and check out the invite on your bloggie… hugs!
Hi, there, June! So glad you could make it to the party! You’ve got the idea with the “refreshing” thing…there’s lots of updates and new comments happenin’ 😉
See ya’ at the LAL when you’ve gathered your supplies!
I’m ready for part 2, I made cakes of yarn in new colors of peaches and creme,Apple green which is very bright and Mar-di-grass which has yellow, dark coral, orange, green and teal in it. Very cheery colors. I have my loom and pick ready too.
That sounds like a wonderfully happy combination of colors, Jeannette! It really does sound like you’re all ready to hit that loom…just refresh your page, and you’ll see that the next videos, as well as a couple of other items have been posted. ;D Hugs!
love the visor!!!! Awesome. I started the handles on the braided cables bag last night, still need to do the sides and bottom though
when you start the second wedge – do you ewrap the 1st peg for the first row before you slip it and ewrap the second?
Kelly, Oh, I’m so glad you like it! It’s really super easy to make…and lightning quick too! 😉 Glad your baggie is going well…this is still one of my favorite projects.
I got here…..still a bit confused as to how this all works!!
Kelly, you’re going to be slipping that first peg, just as you’ve done before…you’ll move right onto the 2nd peg and EW it. Are you having fun yet?? 😉
Definately having fun! I’m using a stone blue and a varigated white/lime yarn
Now I have to find some tulle and make a bunch of these. I bet a courser netting (like onion bags?) might work for the kitchen scrubbers. I love the new mitt pattern, too.
Hi there, Carol!! So glad you could make it! 😀 Okay…well, it looks like you’re on the first post, which is perfect, as that’s where you should be starting…watch the first video, then proceed to the next, and then to the final one for your project. There are other posts tucked in there as well, so make sure to keep refreshing your page to be constantly updated on new posts and comments, K? Have fun, and welcome!
OK….you are talking to a “live blog challenged” person here, so I will give it a go. LOL
Hi, Kate! Glad you could make it! 😀 You’re right, a courser netting would work great, as well, for those tougher jobs. You will be surprised, I think, at how scrubby these actually are, lol! The first time I used it in the bath, it was quite a thorough scrubbing I received, but boy did I shine, lol!
Good! Kelly, I can’t wait to see those colors together…sounds wonderful!
hahaha! I have faith in you, Carol! 😀 Just hollar if you need anything…I’ll be right here.
My SIL bought me a 3″ wide roll of nylon net. Will this work for the project as well as the tulle? I don’t have any tulle on hand.
How do I get to the 2nd video?
Never mind…found the link at the top of the page….
I love that idea, Carol! I’m sure this will work just fine in place of the tulle.
Carol, if you push on the “blog” button just under the header of the website, it should completely refresh the page to show all the new posts…videos included! 😉
OK, so moving to the next page…..using royal blue netting variegated yarn in blue, white, yellow and solid yellow. Looks like comments from this page do not show on next page, so will post over there from now on
Carol,
you can also open a new “tab” to watch the video and leave this comment string open.
Happy Blogiversary. wish I would join you for the LAL but can’t today.
Carol, those colors sound wonderful! I’m excited to see your project when you’re all done! 😀
Thanks so much, Martha! 😀 It’s quite okay if you can’t join in today…I’ll leave up the videos so that you can participate whenever you next have the time. Make sure to pick up your PDF copy as well, so that you’ll have that for reference and convenience. 🙂 Thanks so much for coming!
Thanks Kelly, I unwittingly did that! LOL Working on the next 7 wedges!
I posted a link at loom knitting addicts yahoo group and at loom knitters break room so I hope more join tomorrow. I’ll check in to see how it is going but Saturday is always busy and I get to cook for my friend again, she is still off her feet and is having fever problems with the broken pelvis and plates and screws. I’ll be checking in while things cook.
I also posted to Facebook and flicker.

I’m sorry, I meant Twitter, I tweet slowly and my fingers got ahead of my brain just now.
