Halloween Pumpkins Montage~

My kids and I created these pumpkins at my work for displays…I had to take pictures to share with you before they were all sold (I did create an absolutely perfect skeleton pumpkin that was all spiral cut down the middle with a sculpted skull head wearing a top hat, lapel and bow tie, but he was bought before he could model for me, to display in an antique shop…don’t you think that’s perfect for a skeleton? The lady said she would send me a picture by email…I’m crossing my fingers-I loved that guy!

Sweater Stamps!

The US Postal Service just released their new Holiday Stamps…they are designs based on How Cute is THAT?!Norwegian sweater designs!  How adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!  😀

“The new holiday stamps provide another way for people to express warm winter greetings on all their mailings sent this season to family, friends or customers, ” said Katherine C. Tobin, a member of the post office’s governing board.

Inspired by traditional Norwegian sweaters, the stamps include a stag, a snow-dappled evergreen tree, a snowman sporting a top hat and a whimsical teddy bear.

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting mine today!

The ins & outs of Felting~

I don’t know about you…but I (big heart) Felting!!!!  There’s just something about the sturdiness of the finished product, and the magic of getting there. 

On perusing some of my favorite sites, I came across this post by Lisa Sawyer about a felted bag.  She had some links from her search of learning to felt by hand.  Inside these links there is a fabulous article about felting on this site.  I couldn’t have said it better myself…and I LOVE the idea of the plunger and the ice cube tray!  I know you’re going…what?!  Click on the link…believe me, you’ll love it too!  I can’t wait to try it…I do have a felted project tumbling around in planning mode that would be perfect to take these ideas for a spin.
