…having a beary good time!
I wanted to share with you this cute little guy.
His name is Bailey, and I found him in a clearance bin at Michaels. He was just begging to be brought home and lovingly dressed… how could I resist a sweet little face like his?
So, I took him home and thought about what style he should be sporting… it wasn’t long before I came up with the idea of his quirky little duds. He’s such a whimsical looking little guy, that he had to be dressed in something fun and unique.
This is the first little sweater I’ve ever made, and was so excited to have whipped it up in one piece on the Knifty Knitter pink long loom, and KK loom clips! Actually, everything was made using the same tools… I used a modified thumb gussett procedure described by Karen in her Half Fingered Gloves, and it worked like a dream! It was a little bit snug on him, so I think next time I would need to up the size of the loom to the yellow long to get a perfect fit. But, he made it through the getting the sweater on squeeeeezing session without any lasting physical or mental damage, lol. 😉
What do you think? Doesn’t he look like a darling dapper dandy??? 😀
Bethany~

Watching the waters receed~
Hey everybody! Some of you already know, but I haven’t officially updated in the blog, that we made it through the flood without a drop! Our house came out high and dry…whew!!! What a huge blessing and relief. Thank you to everyone who kept us and our community in your thoughts and prayers! They were heard, I’m certain, as all the predictions of the severity of the flood kept increasing bit by bit, but at the last, it seemed the waters had just had enough, and decided to crest, in some cases just inches from disaster. Our house was about 6 feet or so from getting wet. Of course, many areas weren’t so lucky…those that normally get flooding, sadly did again.
Here are some pics of our experiences during the long wait for the flood waters to receed, so that life could go on again as normal:
