Are you ready for THIS?!

There’s something NEW calling your name…

Is it a finger phone?  Or a stew pot that adds it’s own ingredients and simmers them to perfection?

No, of course not!  I’m talking about the most perfect knitting loom for those who have every person they hold at least a teensy bit of affection for on their sock looming list this year!  Or for those who just want to be able to make a wonderfully extra fine gauge pair of fibery goodness socks for their darling sons and daughters, their hubbies and wives, and even their Aunt Theolas!

Introducing the beautiful Wonder Sock Loom by Decor Accents!  It can knit every size sock, from baby to XL men’s!  How innovative!

I know… you need this, right?  Well, there are 2 ways to get one of these babies in your hot little sock loomin’ hands:

  1. You can win one for FREE!   :)   Just go right here to the announcement of this wonderful new loom, and submit a comment…this will enter you into the drawing!  One thing, though: make sure to tell them that I sent you over there, because you can also get entries by referring loomies to the ground breaking news!  ;)
  2.  Of course, you don’t have to wait…you can always just pop on over to the Decor Accents site, and pick one up today!

Go ahead…you owe it to yourself to check it out…it’s really a marvelous loom, that will save you valuable $$ and time, as you won’t be having to hunt down (or purchase) the right size loom for your next project…it’s all in one!

Here’s to warm tootsies around the globe!

Blogiversary Prize Winners! :)

Yippee!!!  The winners have been drawn!  It was completely fair and unbiased, I promise… even though I would have given prizes to everyone if I could because each and every one of you deserve it!  This is the preschool teacher part of me coming out… it’s hard to let only 3 win.  :P

But, alas, there are just 3 prizes, so only 3 must be drawn… here’s how I did it:

Each comment was worth one entry.  Each blog participation in the questionnaire was worth two entries.  Each referral was worth one entry.  Each entry was assigned a number.  Three numbers were  drawn by the random numbers generator.  The prizes have been awarded in the order that they were announced.

Therefore… drum roll please……..

Winner #1 (who’s lucky number was 21) is: Dianne Carroll!

a Signed copy of the Loom Knitting Pattern Book!

Prize One: a Signed copy of the Loom Knitting Pattern Book!

Winner #2 (who’s lucky number was 61) is:  Robin McCoy!

Blogiversary Part II…

Are you ready for another way to WIN?

Well, I’m a naturally curious person… I get to meet all these wonderful loomy ladies (with a few guys sprinkled in) without ever having met them, or spend time in person at their house, eating pizza, or party cake…

So, inquiring minds want to know!  ;)   This is what you do…

If you have a blog, you can copy and paste the questions below into a post…all filled out with your answers, of course.  Then make sure to link back to here, inviting others to participate in the party.  Leave a comment here to let me know that you’ve completed your post.  This will also let everyone know to go look at your blog to read your answers…kind of like a blog block party!  You will receive 2 entries for participating on your blog, and one for every person who comes to the party, and leaves their answers, with your name as the invitee!

If you don’t have a blog…don’t fret!  You can answer the questions right here in the comments!  You will receive an entry for you and for any friend who you’ve invited to come and play…cool, huh?!  :D   Let the games begin!!!

  1. What was your age when you first discovered your love of yarn?  What (or who) was it that introduced you to all that fibery goodness?
  2. If you could sit down with anyone in the world to have a little knit along, who would it be?
  3. What is your favorite comfy place or position in which to work with yarn?
  4. Like our heroin in the story below, do you ever dream about soft fuzzy goodness?  Or how to do a particular technique you’d never thought of while awake?
  5. What type of loomer/knitter/crocheter are you?  Do you like long involved projects, or quickies full of fast satisfaction?
  6. Have you ever guiltily postponed dinner due to your involvement with a project?
  7. What is your ultimate goal in your yarn life?
  8. Do you have a favorite snack you like to munch while working with yarn?
  9. What is your all time most favorite yarn tool/accessory that you absolutely could not live without?
  10. What is your favorite movie?
  11. What is your favorite book as an adult…and what was yours as a child?
  12. What are you working on right now with your yarn?
  13. Is there a special project that you’ve been just dying for someone (or yourself) to design?
  14. Did someone invite you to join in on the party today?

Don’t forget that the story continues…  It’s not too late to add to the drama of a Knitter in Need…  ;)

A Day in the Life of a Fiber Enthusiast sound fun?  Here goes…

The shadows were still thick in the room, the moon’s rays still stretching to dispell some of the darkness, when her eyes suddenly popped open.  With a sharp intake of breath, she knew it had happened again.  She had had another one of those dreams…dreams of fiber, and looms, and intricate designs…  She reached over to flick on her reading light, grabbed her notebook which she always kept at her bedside for these exact moments, and started scribbling down layouts, and directions for the designs that could only have been given to her by some being who stayed just beyond the mists of her dreams.  She knew she had to write them down as best as she could, right when the moment hit her, or they’d be lost forever…What was the purpose behind these dreams?  Why her?

The moment was gone as all sense of reality came crashing in around her.  Her alarm had gone off.  It was time to meet the day…would she have time to play with her yarn today?  Every time these dreams occured, the yearning to grab her looms and stay in all day was so overwhelming, but life went on…

—————————————————————-

Okay…it’s your turn now!  Just continue the story in the comments…where you take her day is all up to you (well, I might jump in here and there just for fun!)…Just make sure your comments are being input into the correct posting for the story to continue properly!  Oh, and let’s make it clean…this is a rated G blog, K?  K!  ;)

With each post, you’ll get an entry into a drawing!  How fun is that?  I’ll be introducing more ways to win as the day goes on, but we’ll start with this one first.  Okay…what are you waiting for?  Get typing…  :)

Oh, looky-looky what I got! :)

Check out the Booty!

This wonderful batch of goodies came yesterday from Isela!  I got my knitted goods back from my designs in, and 2 copies of, the Loom Knitting Pattern Book!  :)   I also ordered the yummy yarn you see there from her destash sale…don’t you just love those colors?  I’m a very big fan of blues and greens…mix them together, and I can’t resist!  I think I’m going to have to order an extra fine gauge sock loom to be able to knit up some “every day wear” socks with that Knit and Tonic yarn.  I’ll need to do it by July 4th, as Decor Accents is having a sale…check it out here

Gus in the Cat Nap CozyOh, and here’s one other (not so) little item that was in the box… I think it’s already been claimed for is fuzzy comfort!

This is the Cat Nap Cozy…

and it is Gus Approved!  :)

Oh, and a little piece of tantalizing news…I’m having my first year Blogiversary this month!  It was on July 30th of 2007, that I officially created my blog…yippee!!!  I’ve decided to hold a celebratory party on Sunday the 27th of July, and of course there will be prizes!  One of the books you see above is signed by Isela for some lucky party attendee!  …and of course there will be more little goodies to giveaway as well.  Stay tuned for the soon to be released plan for fantabulous fun!  :D
