Yippee for the patterns!
I have been very happy with a 2 lb. model from Sunbeam or its little twin from Toastmaster, Breadman or Oster. Granted, mine doesn’t have the programmable times for kneading, rising or baking like the Zojirushi models, but I only paid around $60 for it in 1999. It lasted very well until the paddle fell out of the bottom of the pan one day.
